How to open Remote Desktop console mode
When you log in to a computer locally, you are using the "console session". When you connect to a server using a Remote Desktop connection, by default you will open another session with another desktop and working environment which means you won't see the program being installed in the console session. You can however use a Remote Desktop connection to connect to the console session of the server. To do this, you need to open the Remote Desktop client by typing mstsc /console at the Run prompt. By connecting to the console session, you see the same desktop and programs running as you would if you were logged inlocally.
